Abundant Joy

It is almost Freedom Day in the United States… July 4. The day we remember our Constitution and freedom from the sovereign ruler of another. And yet, many do not feel so free. For example, many of us are worn from the lasting years of a pandemic-ridden world.

Though we may feel we can only handle what we see, this is precisely the reason God sent His Son as our Savior. He died on a cross for our sins and to set us free from stress, worry, and consuming fears. Specifically, the worry-laden life that those who do not know Christ tend to live daily. Ultimately, a worry-filled life is not what God wants because it means we are grasping for ultra control and perhaps desperate to run the show?

In other words, God sent his son to live a perfect, sinless life and die on a cross for our sins. Simply put, God provided us a way of salvation, so we would never feel we could only handle what we see in front of us. Isn’t that great news!? You don’t have to control every aspect of life because we have a Holy Father in heaven who knows every hair on each head and has numbered our days (Job 14:5).

And here’s some other good news!!

He created us to have abundant joy (John 15:11).

Dear one, whatever storm of life you are amid, take heart that God is with you. Run to Him, tell Him your fears, and let Him who created the world comfort you.

Always praying…

Xoxo
